Ward County Greater Works is currently active in Monahans, Grandfalls, Royalty, Wickett, Pyote and Barstow. Ector County Greater Works is active in Odessa, South Odessa and West Odessa. Midland County Greater Works is in the beginning stages serving about thirty families. Winkler County Greater Works opened June 2009 with 23 families and in Sept. served 54 families. We are servicing each community’s low-income (125% of Federal Poverty Level) seniors aged sixty or older, and low-income disabled (on Social Security Disability) or in Midland, single moms with children.
We also help those outside these perimeters only on anemergency status. The most important provision is the food from The Food Distribution Center. Ward County Greater Works is governed by a seven member board of directors which includes a pastor, and community leaders, and a severely disabled client. The "Greater Works Center" is located at 112 W. Sealy in Monahans. Ector County Greater Works center is located at 2616 N. Maple Odessa, TX., Winkler County Greater Works is located at 120 S. Pine in Kermit, TX.
